I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees. I've come here to celebrate Earth Day, so please Come join me and help spread the message I bring.
Be a friend to the trees and to each living thing.
Here's what Random House has to say about The Lorax by Dr. Seuss: "Long before saving the earth became a global concern, Dr. Seuss, speaking through his character the Lorax, warned against mindless progress and the danger it posed to the earth's natural beauty."
Since the book's publication in 1971, it has become a green classic-for kids, of course, but the message is not lost on adults. Dr. Seuss Enterprises (in conjunction with Random House and Sylvania) has created "The Lorax Project" to "to promote positive ecological change by working with other like-minded partners. We are encouraging environmental education and awareness by spreading the Lorax's optimistic message about caring for the earth and planting for a sustainable future. We are planting the seeds for a new generation of earth conscious products."
