Shoot the Moon Yo-Yo Trick
The Shoot the Moon Yo-Yo Trick can be a dangerous trick. Do not attempt it until you have mastered the basic tricks and have achieved good control over your yo-yo.
How to Do the Shoot the Moon Yo-Yo Trick:
Step 1: Begin by throwing a Forward Pass.
 As the yo-yo returns, flick it upward. |
Step 2: As the yo-yo returns, flick your wrist in a
semicircular motion, sending the yo-yo almost straight up above your head. The yo-yo will pass very close to your face; this is what makes the trick potentially dangerous. Be careful!

Step 3: As the yo-yo comes down, flick your wrist, and send it back out in front of you.
Step 4: As the yo-yo returns, either catch it or, if you prefer, flick it back upward for a second "moon shot."
